The Blog

In my twenty four years in the EFL classroom, I don’t remember not resorting to drawing while teaching. At one point or another, I will draw something on the board and my students will draw as well. Children, teens, adults, everyone will sooner or later. Drawing comes naturally to me, the next thing I know, I’m drawing something. The other day, a beginner student of mine asked “What does weight lifting mean?” and I said: “It’s easier for me if I draw it.” (come on! It’s a lot easier than saying that it’s something you do at the gym to help you build up your muscles) and I drew a dumbbell. No shadow of a doubt left. They immediately understood the meaning and we moved on. Therefore, after being talked into it, I decided to create this blog to share my illustrations and classroom activities. I hope you enjoy and make use of them as well. Let’s draw then….shall we?
